Earlier this month, GroupeSTAHL companies partnered with New Balance in New York City at The Armory for the 2012 National Indoor Championship Track Meet. There were 4,200 of the best track and field athletes from across the US on site to participate in this competition, and each received a commemorative backpack at registration with the option to personalize. What was the only way to get the job done? Heat printing of course. A team of heat printing experts that included Carol Johnston and Lisa Halliday (Stahls’ DFC), Greg Szaraz (Stahls’ Transfer Express) and Joe Kosinski (Stahls’ CAD-CUT Direct) assisted in personalizing over 3,500 bags for the attendees. How did they do it? With a combination of ElastikaPrints screen printed transfers, (Elasti Prints provide the look and feel of direct screen printing, can be purchased in any color, and are great for single or multiple color transfers), CAD-CUT® Premium Plus heat transfer material, and applied with Hotronix® Fusion heat presses. Small But Perfectly Formed – The Silhouette-CAMEO A3 cutter
Introducing the new Silhouette Cameo, the latest cutter from Graphtec.
This machine has taken all of the great features of the Craft Robo and enhanced them, allowing extended cutting width 30cm x 30cm (12” x 12”), length (up to 3 metres) and pressure (up to 350gsm). The Graphtec Silhouette Cameo has an auto feed function which helps accurate loading for the registration mark detector, making it ideal for A4 and A3 heat transfer material and media paper. It features an SD card reader, making ideal for use on the move, and the blade and holder is much more advanced and easy to use. There is only one blade, which comes in one holder, which has ten different pressure settings, each increasing the thickness of cut by 0.1mm.
The new Silhouette Cameo comes with Silhouette Studio software which is incredibly easy to use. You can create t-shirt designs, shapes, text and import graphics with the click of a button. It even comes with a full tutorial kit – a DVD, sample media and templates so that you can take it out of the box and start producing immediately!
